Jessie Conta is a licensed and certified genetic counselor with expertise in genomics, laboratory stewardship, healthcare delivery, and leadership. She is a laboratory stewardship consultant and owner of Pickhandle Consulting. Prior to starting Pickhandle Consulting, she dedicated the past 15 years to promoting laboratory stewardship at Seattle Children’s Hospital and co-founded PLUGS® (Patient-centered Laboratory Utilization Guidance Services), a laboratory stewardship collaborative with a mission to improve laboratory test access, ordering, retrieval, interpretation and reimbursement. She is a mentor to genetic counseling students, a rare disease advocate, a mom, a skier, and a plant enthusiast.
